14U Division
The 14U division consists of one or two weekday practices and a game on Saturday. There are separate boy and girl divisions. 

There is a fall session and a spring session. Each session has (6) games. Games will consist of (3) home games in Allendale and (3) away games within the West Michigan area. Possible locations are Georgetown, Wyoming, Kentwood, Byron Center, Forest Hills, and a few others.

Practices: 
• Practices will either be one day or two days a week. If one day, practice will be a 90-minute session. If two days, practices will be (2) 60-minute sessions.
• Practice days are Monday – Friday.
• Practices times can be between 5:00p - 8:00p. Coach’s discretion.
• The head coach will pick the practice day(s) & time and communicate it to the team. 

Games:
• 70-minute game:
       (4) 17.5-minute quarters
       5-10 minute halftime
• Switch directions at halftime
• 11v11 with a goalkeeper. 
• All standard soccer rules apply.

Field Size: 
• Length: 100-130 yards
• Width: 50-100 yards

Goal Size: 
• Height: 8 feet
• Width: 24 feet

The Ball: 
• Size 5

The Team: 
• Roster Size: 12-15 players
• Separate boy and girl divisions
• Players per team on the field: 11
• Substitutions: Between quarters, at halftime, and for injuries.

Playing Time:
• Minimum of two quarters.
• No player should play four quarters until everyone has played three.

Rules Unique to 14U:
• Heading is allowed.
• For 14U, heading is now limited to a maximum of thirty (30) minutes per week with no more than 15-20 headers, per player.
• There is no restriction on heading in matches.

Player Equipment: 
• Shoes: Soccer cleats
• Shin guards: Required. It is mandatory that shin guards be covered with socks.
• Socks: Soccer socks are provided by AYSO as part of your registration fee. The socks will match the jersey.
• Jersey: Provided by AYSO as part of your registration fee. The player will keep the jersey at the end of the season.

Officials:
AYSO certified Regional Referees are required. The officiating crew will consist of a head referee and two assistant referees (linesmen).
